1. Preparation before cleaning

(1) Cut off the power supply: stop the cooling water circulation of the wall circulating pump; Turn off the power supply of the axial flow fan.

(2) Close valves: Close the inlet and outlet valves.

(3) Personnel protection: Construction personnel should wear protective clothing and masks, as well as plastic shoes and gloves. Attention should be paid to personal safety and labor protection during cleaning construction.

2. Chemical cleaning process and implementation

Due to the unique structure of the evaporative condenser, the packing and condensing coils are suspended and completely exposed to the air, making it impossible to perform immersion chemical cleaning; And the structural conditions of each component are also different, so a combination of spray cleaning, water cleaning, and cyclic cleaning is used for cleaning.

(1) Cleaning of circulating water tank

Firstly, clean the scale residue and debris that have fallen off the bottom of the circulating water tank, put the scale residue and debris into a woven bag, and remove them from the circulating water tank. Rinse the water tank with tap water, open the drain valve, and discharge dirt and dirty water. After cleaning, close the drain valve.

(2) Protection of circulating water tank

Due to the use of galvanized steel plates for the circulating water tank, cleaning agents have a certain corrosiveness to zinc. Therefore, before cleaning, cover the bottom and edges of the water tank with a large and sturdy plastic cloth to protect it from corrosion. At the drainage outlet on the lower edge of the circulating water tank, holes should be left on the plastic cloth to facilitate the smooth operation of the cooling water circulation system pipeline.

(3) Cleaning of sprinkler system

Remove the water distribution pipe and nozzle from the sprinkler system, clean out any dirt and debris, and then restore them to ensure unobstructed water flow.

(4) Spray cleaning

① Spray on top. Open the inlet valve and replenish the required amount of water to the cooling water system; Then connect the plastic pipe and cleaning water tank to the acid resistant circulation pump, place the inlet in the cleaning water tank containing a special cleaning agent, and fix the outlet at the top of the evaporative condenser tower; Turn on the cleaning circulation pump, and let the construction personnel control the plastic pipe at the outlet to evenly spray the cleaning agent from the top of the condenser tower onto the packing. The cleaning agent can be poured from top to bottom onto the packing and condenser coil.

② Spray down. Using the same method, connect a self-contained small acid resistant circulation pump to the cleaning water tank and inlet and outlet pipes, and install a self-made nozzle at the outlet of the water pipe; Turn on the circulation pump and spray cleaning agent onto the condenser plate from the inlet position of the condenser. The homemade nozzle can create a certain impact force on the cleaning agent, directly acting on the coil to accelerate the dissolution and detachment of rust and scale.
